A Business Plan
A simple document that covers all
aspects of how you intend to run your business

The Business Plan would include:
- What your aims are
- What the pricing structure is for your
products and services showing expected costs and overheads so that
you can see that its profitable. ( probably a simple spreadsheet )
- Terms and Conditions of Business covering
such things as payment terms. For example making sure that you get
paid in stages so that you don't find that you have done all the
work before you are able to submit an invoice. Cash flow is
fundamentally important to a small business
Set Up The Following as required
- Professional indemnity or other insurance if
it was required
- VAT registration if it helped you
- A sensible accounting system to keep good
track of everything

The cost of this obviously varies depending on the
complexity of the task, but if you haven't ever done this before
it's really a must! It is also amazing how much you can achieve in a
day or even a half day |
